Hot on the heels of the 620 gigabit-per-second denial of service attack just a week ago, follows a new record of over 1 terabit delivered through a collection of hacked Internet-connected cameras and digital video recorders. IoT botnets it seems could one day break the internet.

Security experts have been warning for years that Internet-connected devices posed a potential threat.
